Workshop fees in Materials Repair

PictureBookbinding workshop at Curran Homestead Village, Newfield, Maine
Basic book repair 1-day workshop (focus—re-case hardcover book, spine replacement, and softcover bindings only).
$350 + $20 Material fee/student.  Maximum students 12.

Basic book repair 2-day workshop (focus—Hardback/Case bindings and softcover books, repairs of reinforced bindings (library bindings), pamphlets, spine replacement, hinge reinforcement, tipping in page, paper tear repairs)
$500 + $20 Material fee/student.  Maximum students 12.


One-on-one two-day workshop—book conservation repairs for archivists, antiquarians and serious book lovers. Also for artists interested in apply these skills to their works: $500 + $40 for materials

Leather or cloth Conservation book repair (2 day workshop) $650 +$35 material fee/student)—Maximum class of 6. 

Bookbinding / Book arts Workshop—offer various workshops in a variety of bookbinding methods ($250-$450 +  additional $35 materials) per student depending on type of workshop—minimum 4 / maximum class 8.



ATTENTION LIBRARIANS AND LIBRARY SUPPORT STAFF
Reduced fees for libraries library materials repair
This is an all day class 10AM-4PM with a 1/2 lunch.  Minimum 4, maximum 10.
Learn how to repair hardbacks (spine replacement, split binds, tipping in page, paperback reinforcement, tears)
Fee: $250 plus travel. An optional fee of $35 per student for a materials kit is provided per request.

Material kit include:
Glue brush
Bonefolder
Pin awl
Binders needle and binders thread
Bees wax
X-acto knife
Microspatula
Muslin/Crash
Small jar of PVA
Wheat paste
Roll of book cloth

NOTE:  fees for workshop, materials and any requested kit fees are due at day of workshop.
